Kernel Science is excited to announce its participation in the forthcoming conference hosted by Consorzio Italbiotec. This significant event is a convergence of the scientific community, potential investors, startups, and consumer associations, focusing on cellular agriculture and sustainable proteins.

Date: 6th and 7th November 2023
Timing: Lunch to lunch
Location: Aula Sironi, Bicocca University, Piazza della Scienza 20126 Milano, Italy.
Participation: Free of charge

Objective of the Congress:

The congress is designed to be a collaborative platform for varied stakeholders in the scientific and business sectors. Discussions will center on understanding the current landscape, envisioning the future, tackling Italy-specific challenges, discovering effective solutions, and promoting new technologies in cellular agriculture and sustainable proteins.

Program Highlights

Day 1:
The conference kicks off with an introduction by Maurizio Bettiga from Italbiotec Srl Società Benefit. The first session, led by Prof. Valeria Mapelli from UNIMIB, will explore technology, research, and development, focusing on precision fermentation and dairy alternatives. The second session will highlight entrepreneurial ventures, with a presentation by Kernel Science Co-founder Bruna Anzà on the importance of simulation algorithms and computational approaches in the cultivated meat industry.

As a pioneer in the field, Kernel Science recognizes the transformative power of these technologies in improving the efficiency and scalability of cellular agriculture – we are delighted about Bruna Anzà’s involvement and the insights she will share at the conference.

Day 2:
The subsequent day will engage in humanistic and regulatory discourse in the industry, discussing the ethical aspects of cellular agriculture, consumer perceptions of cultivated meat, and the future of global food governance. The event will conclude with a round table chaired by Cristiano Calì from Unito.

We warmly invite everyone to join this informative event in Milan on the 6th and 7th of November.
